This policy explains how warranty coverage is documented, what customers should do when a fault occurs and how warranty claims are assessed.
Specific written quotation, invoice, warranty or order terms may apply to an individual transaction where lawful.
1. Warranty documents and period
The applicable warranty period, provider, covered components and start date are stated on the invoice, quotation, product document or manufacturer warranty supplied for the specific product. Different equipment categories and components may have different coverage.
Keep the invoice, serial number, model number, installation record and warranty document in a safe place.
2. What a warranty may cover
Subject to the applicable warranty document, coverage generally relates to defects in materials or workmanship arising during normal commercial use. The warranty provider may inspect, test, repair or replace an eligible component before another remedy is considered.
3. Common exclusions
- Incorrect installation, voltage, gas, water, drainage or ventilation.
- Misuse, overloading, impact, neglect or operation outside instructions.
- Unauthorized repair, modification, opening or replacement parts.
- Normal wear, consumables, filters, lamps, seals or routine maintenance items unless stated.
- Damage from pests, corrosion, water ingress, power fluctuation, fire, flooding or external events.
- Failure to clean, service or maintain the equipment as required.
The specific warranty document controls where it differs from this general summary.
4. Installation and site readiness
Warranty support may depend on correct installation and utilities. Before connecting equipment, confirm voltage, phase, earthing, gas type, water quality, pressure, drainage, extraction, ventilation and service clearances.
Where professional installation or commissioning is required, keep the technician or commissioning record.
5. How to submit a claim
- 1Stop unsafe operation
Disconnect or isolate equipment where continued use may cause injury or further damage.
- 2Contact BuyTrend
Provide the invoice, model, serial number, fault description, photographs or video and site details.
- 3Allow diagnosis
BuyTrend or the warranty provider may troubleshoot remotely, inspect on site or request workshop assessment.
- 4Follow the approved remedy
Do not engage an unauthorized repairer before written approval.
6. Travel, labour and non-warranty costs
The warranty document should state whether transport, technician travel, labour, removal, reinstallation or consumables are included. Where an inspection determines that the issue is outside warranty, any chargeable work will be explained before proceeding.
7. Spare parts and maintenance
BuyTrend may assist with spare-parts identification and maintenance guidance where available. Availability can depend on the model, manufacturer and product age. Preventive maintenance and correct cleaning help reduce downtime but do not extend coverage unless stated in writing.
8. Legal rights
A commercial warranty is additional to rights or remedies that may apply under law. Nothing in this policy removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
