This policy explains how BuyTrend confirms delivery scope, timing, charges, access requirements and customer responsibilities for equipment deliveries.
Typical delivery time: in-stock items are usually delivered within 1–3 business days in Nairobi and 3–7 business days to other regions in Kenya, once an order is confirmed. Delivery charges depend on product size, weight and destination and are confirmed before dispatch.
Specific written quotation, invoice, warranty or order terms may apply to an individual transaction where lawful.
1. Delivery coverage
BuyTrend coordinates deliveries within Kenya and may support deliveries to other East African destinations where this is confirmed in writing. Delivery availability, route, carrier and charges depend on product size, weight, destination, access and required handling.
2. Delivery confirmation
A delivery is scheduled only after BuyTrend confirms the order, delivery address, receiving contact, applicable charges, payment status and any special handling or installation requirements. Website estimates or informal discussions are not guaranteed delivery commitments.
3. Delivery estimates
As a general guide, in-stock items are typically delivered within 1–3 business days in Nairobi and 3–7 business days to other regions in Kenya, once dispatch is confirmed. Exact dispatch and delivery timing will be stated or confirmed for the specific order, and may vary depending on stock status, supplier availability, customization, import processes, route conditions and site readiness.
BuyTrend will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes. A delay does not automatically cancel an order unless cancellation is agreed or required by applicable law.
4. Delivery and handling charges
Delivery, offloading, specialized lifting, stair access, after-hours delivery, storage, redelivery and installation may be charged separately unless expressly included in the written quotation. The customer should review the quotation before payment and ask for clarification where required.
5. Customer responsibilities
- Provide an accurate address, location pin and receiving contact.
- Confirm access roads, gates, doors, corridors, stairs, lifts and floor loading.
- Ensure authorized personnel are available to inspect and sign for delivery.
- Provide a safe, clear and lawful unloading area.
- Notify BuyTrend in advance about restricted access or special lifting needs.
- Ensure the site is ready where installation or commissioning is included.
6. Inspection on delivery
The receiving person should inspect the packaging, quantity and visible condition before signing the delivery note. Any visible damage, shortage or incorrect item should be recorded on the delivery document and reported to BuyTrend promptly with photographs where possible.
Signing without a recorded exception may make it harder to establish when visible transit damage occurred, but it does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Unsuccessful or delayed receipt
If delivery cannot be completed because the site is closed, access is unsafe, the receiving contact is unavailable, information is inaccurate or the customer is not ready, BuyTrend may arrange storage or redelivery and communicate any additional reasonable cost before proceeding.
8. Customer collection
Where collection is approved, the customer or authorized transporter should present the required order or collection details and use a suitable vehicle and securing method. Responsibility for loading assistance, transport protection and collection timing will be confirmed before release.
9. Risk, title and installation
Transfer of risk and ownership is governed by the confirmed quotation, invoice, delivery documentation and applicable law. Delivery does not necessarily include installation, connection, testing or operator training unless those services are expressly listed.
